ByteDance Lands $29.6 Billion Loan to Fuel AI Advances

China’s ByteDance has reportedly secured a $29.6 billion loan from nearly 30 banks. RBI Allows UCBs to Fund IDPIC

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has amended investment guidelines, permitting Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) to invest in equity shares of the Indian Digital Payment Intelligence Corporation (IDPIC) for membership. IDPIC functions as a central digital payment fraud intelligence platform, with the amendment effective immediately.

RBI Changes Calamity Relief Reporting

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revised the reporting framework for Regulated Entities (REs) concerning relief measures in natural calamity-affected areas. Effective July 1, 2026, REs must submit details through the Centralised Information Management System (CIMS) portal on a half-yearly basis, by October 30 and April 30, discontinuing the previous monthly return.
