DPDP Act Enforcement Nears, Consent Manager Framework Opens
India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act's 'soft enforcement period' is set to conclude in November 2026, with penalties up to INR 2.5 billion for non-compliance for financial firms. Concurrently, the Consent Manager registration framework is expected to operationalize between June and August 2026, requiring businesses to prepare for new data consent management protocols.
